about
"Little Miss September" draws inspiration from the poignant imagery of the vintage doll "Little Miss No-Name," a creation from the 1960s by Hasbro. Designed by Deet D’Andrade, this doll's appearance was influenced by the large-eyed children portrayed in the works of American artist Margaret Keane. Reflecting the doll's piteous state, the song captures a yearning for acceptance and the healing power of self-love.
In the spirit of the doll's narrative, Hasbro's advertising for Little Miss No-Name underlined her heartrending circumstances:
"She doesn’t have a pretty dress.
She doesn’t have any shoes.
She doesn’t even have a home.
All she has is love."
The doll's packaging depicted Little Miss No-Name standing outside in a cold, slushy snowstorm, enhancing the emotional depth of her backstory. Hasbro went further in emphasizing her plight by including a personal plea on the box:
"I need someone to love me
I want to learn to play
please take me home with you
and brush my tear away."
As "Little Miss September" channels the essence of vulnerability and healing, it resonates with the doll's journey towards love and self-discovery. Wendi Morrison's emotive vocals infuse the song with a sense of longing and resilience, inviting listeners to explore their own paths to self-empowerment.

lyrics
Little Miss September
And where the hell were you,
while I screamed for love,
another pill, another man,
Oh well, you can’t give a damn.
Broken heart, torn my, body apart.
Mind scarred, spirit shattered,
Little Miss September
I guess your memory, serves you well…
If you don’t remember.
Was it something said?
Or didn’t I do for you?
Broken heart, torn my, body apart,
Mind scarred, spirit shattered,
Little Miss September
Remember
Now my world is fine.
Who I am, is what you’d find.
I love myself, and you would to,
If your self,
Loved you!
Broken heart, I've torn my, body apart, over you
Mind scarred, spirit shattered,
Little Miss September
Won’t you remember….
Guitar Solo
Broken heart, torn my, body apart, over you!
Mind scarred, spirit shattered,
Little Miss September
Won’t you remember me, I'm Little Miss September.
Yeah, Fuck You….and they lived happily ever after….

dousing the wounds in peroxide. This is the alchemical fire; this is when transformation begins”.
